The project for the construction of the new socio-cultural center requires, beyond the architectural conception, a real position on the urban and social issues of the neighborhood. Situated in an area subject to important changes in the urban renewal plan of The city, the plot on which this new equipment is installed is located on an urban area, marking the caesura between a zone of ensemble housing and a zone of large ensembles. This new building taking again existing activities located today On the ground floor of one of the large complexes, it seemed important not to turn their backs on these large complexes, with some of the users of the center also flocking from this area. Under this program, we propose a Building that creates a real link between the two streets, whilst responding in a pertinent way to the objectives set by the contracting authority. The latter is materialized in the layout of the building with the creation of a generous passage alongside the building, Union between the avenue and the street bordering it.This inner street endorses several uses: as the main access to the equipment, or outside space of the program, it is a place of passage but also a place of waiting , A meeting place where the users but also the inhabitants of the neighborhood can converge.
